Gianni Mana born in Fossano in 1934.
At 22 years old, taking a rest from the bike trainings, he
paints his first work and fascinated
by Utrillo and Van Gogh, he dedicates himself studying the
painting methods of the Impressionists.
The 1971 is the year of his first personal exhibition at Fossano
in the gallery "La Cornice", and
since then the art critics started appreciated his works. Always
in 1971 one of his painting got awards
at Arona during a National Exposition. At Arona in 1972 he
got the bronze medal and in 1974 the silver ones.
These are the years of the research and of the perfectioning.
A lot of trips in Normandy, up to the near mountains and in
the local contries in order to get in touch
with the real colors and the hidden aspects of our landscape,

in Switzerland, Deutchland,
the United States, Argentina, France and Luxemburg.
